Timeless elegance is a great way to describe Zang Toi’s Fall/Winter 2014 collection shown at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week (MBFW). With the theme “Paris of the Orient,” Toi created a collection filled with a traditional-Orient meets retro-mod feel.

Jade was a key color in Zang Toi’s pieces, along with black, gray, and purple. Chic dresses, gowns, skirt/jacket, and trouser/jacket combos, filled the runway. High collars resembling a style from the Orient, were added onto full-length gowns, tops, and jackets, and accessorized with capes, coats, and fur stoles.

Known for intricate detailing, above-the-thigh stockings with a subtly sexy stripe running down the back of the leg, accompanied a number of dress and/or skirt looks.

As expected, Zang Toi included several men’s pieces. The first, a gray two-piece suit with a white shirt, topped off with black gloves and a stylish black hat. The second, a black velvet evening blazer with trousers, a jade silk shirt, and a jade bowtie.
