With ten novels behind her, Cindy A. Christiansen, has set out to fulfill another dream—writing a series.
Christiansen writes sweet romance with humor, suspense…and dogs! Recently, her publisher, Sweet Cravings Publishing, released “Time Will Tell (A Merchant Street Mystery 1”, the first book in a three book series.
The Merchant Street Mysteries centers around a fictional street Salt Lake City, Utah. The street is in the oldest part of the city in buildings built when early Mormon pioneers first settled the area. The business owners are trying to compete with a new high-end shopping center.
To introduce the new series, Christiansen is offering a free ebook, “A Merchant Street Mystery: Worth the Wait” at https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/311245
“Time Will Tell” begins when Holly Waterbury’s father volunteers her to take care of her Uncle Kipp after he suffers a leg injury. Uncle Kipp has a bit of a hoarding problem, and if there’s one thing Holly can’t stand, its disorganization.
The second thing she can’t stand is dogs. She soon finds out that Uncle Kipp owns a Scottish Terrier. Holly is terrified of dogs because she was attacked by a German Shepherd.
Zach Abberley is a hardworking business owner. His family owns an antique store and he also owns a thrift shop. With a father who drinks to excess and is on his umpteenth marriage, Zach is worried that all women are gold diggers. If only he could find out if a woman could love him for himself and not his money.
Catastrophe begins when a drug addict brings in two unusual antique clocks to sell and several break-ins follow to steal them back. Just what do the clocks possess? And, with all the peculiarities in Holly’s family, she has vowed never to marry or have kids. Will her strong attraction to Zach change her mind? Only time will tell.
An early review the author received has this to say:
“Recently a librarian told me she likes to read fiction books with a "little something extra.” This accurately describes the kind of novels I enjoy as well, and is what you'll get when you read “Time Will Tell”. The characters are endearing, the plot is sound, and there's that something extra--sights and sounds of Salt Lake City past and present, plus information from an author who knows about clocks, antiques, disorders, and dogs--all of which makes for very enjoyable reading. 5 out of 5 Stars” - Debbie
