It is a new year and it is time to begin reviewing what took place last year and how to improve. The most important step of that improvement is refreshing the job resume. To begin review what is currently written and how the structure of the resume. After doing so ask the following questions:
· Have I attended taken any classes or learned any skills this year?
· Have I provided freelance work that can benefit my job resume?
· Has my current job status changed?
The reason for each answer to the above questions is they each have specific effect to job growth, achievement within a career, and to the resume layout. It is best to review current resume before beginning the new layout then open a blank document and determine the most appropriate way to structure it based on the current information and the answers to the above questions. Keep in mind it is wise for a resume to be no more than two pages. The benefit of two pages is to ensure details are brief but sufficient and the hiring manager will stay interested.
