I walked in Mainstage on Main a little later than I wanted to….
So many times now I have heard of the alternative/experimental rock band called the Crisis… People saying I needed to go catch one of their live performances.
It’s not that I didn’t want to – it’s just timing.
Anyhow, the Crisis was opening support for Vanilla Ice last Saturday night. This was my chance.
I got there late.
BUT, I did get to hear their cover of Michael Jackson’s “Dirty Diana” and that’s my favorite MJ song. (Please no hate emails ok? “Beat It” is a close second!). I freaking loved their version. LOVED IT.
Then I heard “Brown Chicken Brown Cow”. I was really trying to listen to the song AND fend off my own foot from kicking my own ass for getting to the venue so late! The “Brown Chicken Brown Cow” song was really good too. It was a little bluesy and a little funky and fun to listen to.
I will for sure keep the Crisis on my “watch out for and go see and don’t be late” list. (I really do have one! Don’t judge!) Make sure they are on your list as well! (Admit it – you have one too…)
“We just like to play music, we don't know anything else or want to know anything else. We know that we have something to offer a music enthusiast - something different. We're not, nor do we endorse, the same ol' bullshit."
the Crisis
The Crisis is Brian "BC" Carrion (guitar, vocals), Jon Alksne (bass, vocals), and Charlie Carlisle (drums).

“Emergency Medicine” was the Crisis’ first full length CD. They say it is “an intentional departure from a traditional Rock album”. If you are reading this far, then read and act upon this – go to their website for a little gift…

The Crisis jams so hard!! They put on an incredible, inergetic, completely entertaining show from start to finish and have tremendous energy! I agree w/ Rob Ryan (I think thats his name from 94.5 Tthe Buzz), "the most talented, profound musicians to ever play a live show"... AMAZING!
