Time to fire two Congressmen - Frank Lucas and Tom Cole

If you live in Oklahoma, heads up - there are two people in Congress you need to fire on June 24th - Frank Lucas and Tom Cole.

3rd Congressional District - Frank Lucas vs. Robert Hubbard

Frank Lucas was elected to Congress in 1994. In that time, he has earned a Heritage Action Score of 50% and a Freedom Index Score of 59%. Even worse is his Liberty Scorecard rating of 31%. Pathetic! He is the current Chairman of the House Committee on Agriculture - which makes him responsible for the joke that is the beast known as the Farm Bill. On top of that, he is a member of the leadership team responsible for delivering John Boehner to us as Speaker of the House. You know, the leadership team that has been an epic failure performing the oversight of the Executive Branch that is specifically a duty of Congress. Mad about all the Obama scandals? Be mad at the Congressmen that haven't done anything about it, and the "leadership" they have created. His scores listed above qualify him as a RINO.

Robert Hubbard is the current Canadian County GOP Chairman. He is a rancher and small business owner. He has rock-solid conservative values and a thorough understanding of the Constitution. He is not a career politician, but a regular guy who has spent his life working hard to provide for his family. He should appeal to both the conservative and liberty wings of the Republican Party.

4th Congressional District - Tom Cole vs. Anna Flatt

Tom Cole is another career politician. He was first elected to Congress in 2002. In that time, he has earned a Heritage Action Score of 48% and a Freedom Index Score of 53%! His Liberty Scorecard rating is 23% - even lower than Lucas. His full biography is impressive - go HERE to see it in his own words - and he is also a member of the House leadership. Meaning, he is also to blame for Boehner and the failure of the House leadership to do anything about the Obama Administration. His scores as listed qualify him as a RINO.

Anna Flatt has had a political career as an activist in both the GOP and in the Liberty Movement. A wife, mother and small business owner, she currently is the Chair of the Carter County Republican Party. This is one of the many offices she has held in her long career of volunteering. Her strong and principled advocacy for true small, limited government has inspired many people across the 4th District, who recognize it is time for a change.

The NSA Nail in the Constitutional Coffin

On June 19th, the House of Representatives did the right thing. By a 293-123 vote, the Massie Amendment to HR. 4870 blocked warrant-less searches of US citizens. Here is the text of the Amendment. Not surprisingly, Representatives Lucas and Cole BOTH VOTED AGAINST IT. Since they seem to be unable to understand the 4th Amendment to the Constitution - which they swear an Oath before God to protect - here it is, again:

The right of the people to be secure in their person, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

NOTE - Congressman Lankford, who has a history of believing the government when it is lying to him about spying on American Citizens, missed this vote.

NOTE #2 - Both Congressman Bridenstine (1st Congressional District) and Congressman Mullin (2nd Congressional District) voted for this amendment.

It is clear, even without the fine candidates running against them, that both of these Congressmen (and I would add Lankford) do not deserve to hold office, due to their fundamental lack of ability to fight for the Constitution. Lucas and Cole are clearly NOT conservatives, and are at best moderates (if not liberals). They are both members of the House leadership team and thus responsible for the actions (or lack of actions) taken by the House. They are definitely anti-liberty by the objective standard used in this article. They both need to be fired.

If I lived in either of these districts, I would vote for Hubbard or Flatt!
