Glad you asked.
The 2012 Academy Awards (AKA The Oscars) will be shown in San Francisco on KGO-TV, Channel 7
Billy Crystal will host the Oscars and the Kodak Theater will come alive with celebrities. According to wikipedia.com, this will be the actor's 9th time at hosting the show.
Expect the award ceremony to finish around 9pm PST.
Before then, however, you are still in time to watch some pre-Oscar events. These are:

This runs from 1:30- 4 p.m. PST (TV-PG). "Hosts talk with some of Hollywood's biggest stars and celebrities, including actors and directors, as they walk the red carpet prior to the awards show."

Best view
The best view of the Oscars is likely to be chez toi.
Your own living room has the best views. That's because the cost is free and you can get up anytime to grab another beer or a snack. There's nothing like your own hospitality for enjoying the Oscars to the full!
Are the Academy Awards live?
As Examiner, Ed Walsh rightly says: "Unlike the Grammys, the Oscars are broadcast live, not tape-delayed in all time zones."
Enjoy.
