Authmentis Original Mind is a Hard Rock/Metal band out of Reno Nevada. Formed in 2005, they have played on a regular basis for the last 9 years and with two albums under their belt, "Orignal Mind" released in April of 2007 and the other "House of Shadows" released in September of 2011, they have plenty of material to rock with at shows.

They are influenced by bands like, Metallica, Tool, Slipknot, Hurt, Avenged Sevenfold, KSE, Chevelle, Black Sabbath, Five Fingered Death Punch and Johnny Cash.

The current line-up for Authmentis is, Sam Spivey (vocals, guitar), Matt Spivey (bass), Casey Alden (lead guitar) and Dave Emerson (drums)

This examiner can attest to the fact that these guys are very good live, well worth the ticket price.

In an on-line interview with the bands lead singer Sam Spivey, this examiner asked, What do you want to accomplish with this and why?

"Well we launched a campaign through indiegogo.com to help raise money for our EP, The Patient, which we hope to put out as soon as possible. As you know, it's pretty tough to make a significant amount of money as one band playing one show, unless you set up the whole thing yourself. (which we have done with excellent results) But currently, we've been working really hard on writing and had already started tracking 4 of the 5 songs we are planning for it. If we committed doing shows, it would pull from the focus of recording, and would take quite a long time to be able to finish this damn thing".

Spivey continued,

"We have been watching a lot of bands have amazing success both locally and nationally by raising money via websites such as kickstarter and indiegogo, and felt it would be the most efficient way to earn some money while working on the tasks at hand. We need $3,000 dollars to complete the project according to our projections but set our minimum goal at $500 just to test the waters and see what kind of pull we could really get. We made our first $600 within 5 hours of launching the project and I would definitely call that a success".

If you would like to donate funds to this project (click here). I might add there are some very nice incentives the band is giving away depending on how much you wish to give.

Be sure to check these guys out the next time they hit the stage, which hopefully will be soon.
