On the season finale of USA’s “White Collar,” airing Jan. 30, 2014, Mozzie (Willie Garson) is running out of time, according to TV Guide.

In addition, the fifth season is set to close with a cliffhanger, with one major character facing mysterious and dire issues, according to the New York Daily News.

This is not unexpected, however, as Nick Thiel, “White Collar’s” executive producer and writer said “We always end the season with a cliffhanger,” reports the Post.

The report notes that it is still unclear whether USA will renew “White Collar” for a sixth season.

Nevertheless, Thiel said he is hopeful the show will get the green light and the cast and crew can begin to “put the next season in motion soon,” the Post reports.

TV Guide describes the season five “White Collar” finale, “Diamond Exchange,” with, “…Neal [Matt Bomer] and Peter [Tim DeKay] race to find a treasure hidden beneath New York City before it falls into the wrong hands.”

The season finale episode of “White Collar” airs Thursday night at 9/8c on USA.
