There are many times that the word "full" is a good thing, but for a municipal animal shelter, "full" is the last thing that needs to happen. It means that if dogs are not placed quickly, some will die. The City of New Britain CT Animal Control's kennels are full, and the clock is ticking for some very adoptable dogs.
There are seven dogs marked as urgent: Charlotte, Fawn, Suzy, Zeus, China, Bonnie and Clyde.
Charlotte is a sweet girl who is a sucker for a belly rub. She knows basic commands. Charlotte is good with children and other dogs.
Fawn is a friendly beauty with soulful eyes that seem to beg for her life. Her brindle coat is stunning. Fawn would be a loyal and loving addition to any home.
Suzy is a stunning young lady with the bluest eyes framed in a black mask. She is affectionate and playful and would be a great walking or running partner.
Zeus is a strikingly handsome young man who would make a perfect family dog. He is friendly and affectionate and gets along with other dogs.
China is a beautiful girl who was banished to living on an outside porch when her family no longer wanted her. She knows several commands and is housebroken.
Bonnie and Clyde are a mature but active bonded pair who would like to stay together. They are friendly, affectionate and good with children. There are currently pledges amounting to $350.00 to a rescue that will take both dogs.
The City of New Britain CT Animal Control facility is located at 642 Christian Lane in Berlin, CT. Adoption hours are Wednesdays from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Saturdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, or make an appointment with Officer Russo by calling (860) 223~5021.
