Time for the Film Festival Again!

See also

April 9-13 will be upon us a lot quicker than you might think, pumpkins. And please don't ask "why?". We are, after all, the elite . . . in the know . . . hit over the head with the Hep Stick!

Besides, it's that time of year again. "When that Aprilis, with his showers swoot . . ."

Yes! Soon the eyes of the cinematic world will descend upon us as, once again, the Charleston International Film Festival opens its doors to the glitterati among the anamorphic lens set. "What frills . . . what frocks . . . what furs . . . what rocks . . ."

(Okay, so perhaps I'm waxing overly enthusiastic here. But I can't help thinking that, to make this work, I really need to be riding in a bus that's going through Newport, doing a Louie Armstrong impersonation.)

The venues will be at the Sottile Theatre and the Charleston Music Hall, with the Memminger Auditorium hosting the Awards Gala on April 13. Tickets and passes for the Festival are already available online at http://www.charlestoniff.com/ with a variety of attendance packages available. You can also mail in your purchase by sending it to Charleston International Film Festival, 915 Folly Road #78, Charleston, SC 29412.

More information can be had by contacting Summer Peacher at Summer@CharlestonIFF.org, or by calling 843-817-1617. You can also watch this space for more information on events as the pieces fall into perfect time.

See you in the dark, pumpkins.
