Lately people continually say it is time for change. The best change right now begins at home and involves the entire finally. Many parents are busy working multiple jobs to provide for their family's and it can take a toll on the entire family. Family's are dealing with role reversal in parenting and bread winner situations. The kids may be use to one parent being home most of the time and the other parent works. Now the roles are reversed due to a lay off or other reasons. The current economy has affected countless family's and it will continue to affect even more.
Kids experiencing the loss of a caregiver or the change in roles of the parents, may experience anxiety and other problems.Some children may even act out just to make a point. Parents know they have a responsibility to provide and will do whatever it takes to provide for their family. Part of providing for the family is peace and security; not just money or material needs and wants.. The family as a whole needs time with each other and it needs to be true family time. Parents need time with each other and the kids time with the parents. Parents need to remember that all the money in the world will never replace their family.
Kids would normally rather have their parents around then have all the best toys and clothes,but still never have time with their parents. A family that stands together and spends time together will stay together. You can start out by setting aside some house work or projects. Do not let your schedule and bills rule you and cost precious time with the family. The well being of the whole family is your first priority!
