Time for a Timberland pop-up booth

Just a quick announcement before heading off to write about socks and whatnot.

Beginning Thursday, November 17, and running through Sunday, November 20, a cool new interactive Pop-up booth will be materializing, as if by magic, to share with you all there is to know about, see and buy from Timberland Earthkeeper line of products. This line of eco-conscious footwear will be on display inside the booth, and there will be opportunities-a-plenty to learn how you can get involved in local tree planting initiatives

If, for some reason, you can’t make it to the pop-up booth, Timberland has made it easy to plant a tree with their new Facebook app, where for every virtual tree planted, Timberland will plant a real one. Think of this as an opportunity to give a gift to the environment as well as a gift of cleaner air to those around you. Remember, trees are the gift that keep on giving.

Protecting the environment is something Timberland takes seriously, and their line of Earthkeeper footwear, made from reclaimed and recycled materials, and the fact that they’ve already planted more than a million trees worldwide, is proof-positive of that.

Do yourself and the environment a favor and head on down to Union Square in the heart of downtown San Francisco starting this Thursday to check out the Fall 2011 Earthkeeper line-up. While you’re down there keep an eye open for the brand activists who’ll be rewarding unsuspecting San Franciscans for random acts of Earthkeeping. Also, there will be a representative on-hand from the Friends of the Urban Forest to share information with you about local tree planting efforts and how you can get involved in your own neighborhood.
