Time change means new Amtrak Timetable

The new fall-winter Amtrak System Timetable is now available and includes minor and seasonal schedule changes which are effective with departures beginning Monday, Nov. 7.

The new timetable is being released as Amtrak continues to celebrate its 40th Anniversary as America's Railroad and its setting a best-ever annual ridership record of 30.2 million passengers this past fiscal year.

"The popularity of rail travel in America is on the rise and the Amtrak timetable is a great travel planning tool for passengers to discover the more than 500 destinations available," said Amtrak President and CEO Joseph Boardman.

The new fall-winter timetable cover features an Amtrak Silver Service train departing Philadelphia 30th Street Station, Amtrak's third busiest station, on a winter's evening.

The magazine-style booklet, printed bi-annually, is available in stations and can be ordered and viewed online at Amtrak.com.  In addition, passengers can get Amtrak schedule information by calling 800-USA-RAIL, or on the new iPhone app.
