Timberland sues over watch that cost him $1.8 million

Rapper and producer Timberland is suing over a watch he lost two years ago. The man who’s most known for working with Missy Elliot and Aaliyah says the watch set him back $1.8 million.

Two years ago, Timberland says he lost an almost $2 million watch that came with over 30 carats of diamonds. And now, according to TMZ, Timberland is suing his insurance company because of their alleged failure to compensate him for his lost property.

TMZ says that Timberland’s suit claims he lost the watch in 2010. But before he lost it, he took out an insurance policy with American Home Assurance Company. The policy cost Timberland $50,000, and covered many expensive items the rapper-producer had in his possession.

Including, at the time, his expensive watch.

But now, after the watch was allegedly stolen, Timberland says his insurance company would pay him what he believes he’s owed. Despite filing a claim, and apparently testifying in court, Timberland alleges that American Home Assurance Company will not compensate him for his stolen watch.

Because the watch cost Timberland $1.8 million, he is suing his insurance company for the same amount of money.
