Timberlake's Spears insult refuted: Justin Timberlake claims it didn't happen

Justin Timberlake refutes claims he shot an insult at Britney Spears during a Super Bowl party. Timberlake had been accused of using the "B" word to describe his ex-girlfriend, but he is claiming that it just did not happen. According to a report from Monday (Feb. 4), Timberlake took to his Twitter account to state that he wasn't going after Spears when he made several comments.

It seems that before he performed his song "Cry Me a River," Timberlake stated, "Sometimes in life, you think you found the one. But then one day you find out, that she is just some b----!" Many fans in attendance automatically assumed that he was talking about Spears and the leap to judgment isn't a surprise since the song has always been rumored to be about their break-up.

Now Timberlake is in hot water as he tries to defend what he said, but unless he wants to keep hearing stories like this break, he should probably stop introducing this song in that particular manner. Some of Justin Timberlake's die-hard fans probably found his introduction amusing, but this isn't the type of press that he wants with a new album coming out soon.

Now fans on both sides will continue debating whether the Timberlake-Spears insult was real or imagined.
