Tim Tebow has found a way to be apart of the big game on Sunday. According to USA Today on Jan. 31, T-Mobile has made a surprising announcement on Friday that the former Denver Broncos quarterback will appear in two of its Super Bowl XLVIII ads.

As Tebow has found himself out of football this past season, he has found other areas of the game to be apart of. First he turned to broadcasting and now Super Bowl commercials, which isn’t his first appearance in an ad. Back in 2010, he appeared in a Big Game commercial but this T-Mobile spot will a contrast from the one he appeared in for a conservative Christian advocacy group. These two 30-second spots will showcase Tebow in a different light as he will play different characters and make fun of himself.

In the ads he makes fun of cell-phone providers that require contracts. Without having a football contract himself, he takes on different professions, including a bull rider and a rock star.

Tim Tebow as a rock star? The former quarterback said the opportunity to play these different characters allowed him to show off his humorous side. It is a side of Tebow that he says his friends and family know.

The Ad’s focus will be to try to encourage consumers to break ties with their current carrier and switch to T-Mobile, a cell-phone provider that does not require contracts.

In the meantime, Tebow is not discouraged from returning to the game and is hopeful an opportunity will arise.

“I’m still working hard every single day to improve as a quarterback and I’m looking forward to whatever opportunities are there.”

If it doesn’t work out, he may just have a career acting.
