The St. Louis Rams took a giant blow on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, as starting quarterback Sam Bradford suffered a torn ACL in his left knee and is out for the season, according to ESPN. Almost immediately, the NFL Network revealed that free agent Tim Tebow is now a candidate to be brought in for a workout so that the team can evaluate him.
Bradford's injury occurred late in the fourth quarter of the Rams loss to the Carolina Panthers. An MRI done later revealed how serious it actually is.
The Rams brought backup Kellen Clemens in to finish the game as he is the only other quarterback on the Rams active roster or practice squad. Of course, this started the rumors as Mike Silver of the NFL Network stated the Rams "have discussed signing Tim Tebow."
News spread quickly so Silver wanted to clear things up. He took to Twitter and posted:
"I believe it's unlikely they'll actually sign him (Tebow)."
Tebow last played in the NFL as a member of the New York Jets in week 16 of last season. He was signed by the New England Patriots in the offseason, but never made it to the regular season as he was let go during final cuts.
