Rumors of a Tim Tebow return to Jacksonville as a Jaguar player have ignited the web after it was recently reported that the former quarterback purchased a $1.4 million home with five bedrooms, 4.5 baths and 6,525 square feet in the southeast of the city. Although Tebow hasn’t given up on his NFL dreams, there's virtually no chance that the former Florida Gators QB and current analyst for the SEC Network will be in a Jags uniform anytime soon.
As explained in a July 21 report from The Blaze, despite the fact that he landed a TV analysis deal, he is still training hard in hopes of once again playing professional football.
Tebow admitted that he’s uncertain about what’s to come, but he explained to media outlets that he’s putting his faith in God and preparing for whatever might come his way.
“One of my favorite quotes is, ‘I don’t know what my future holds, but I know who holds my future,’” he said. “And that it gives you peace to just continue to work and go after what your heart desires and when you do that you don’t have any regrets and I think that’s the best way to live life.”
The 26-year-old former Heisman Trophy winner last played in regular-season action for the Jets in 2012, but was released after one season. Despite being released by the Patriots last preseason, he has never wavered in his hope of returning to the big stage.
Just a few months ago news of Tim Tebow buying a house in Jacksonville would have most likely sent Jags fan into a frenzy, but it seems that the team has found a new quarterback in Blake Bortles.
