Tim Tebow has created a pro-life Super Bowl Sunday ad that many people are calling controversial and has many women’s rights groups up in arms. Several hundred comments have been left on the CNN Facebook page wondering why the ad would appear during the Super Bowl game. Super Bowl Sunday commercials are generally known for funny, beer drinking type of ads.
The 30-second commercial allegedly features Tim Tebow and his mother in a pro-life advertisement. Several women’s groups have protested that the ad is inappropriate for Super Bowl Sunday.
“An ad that uses sports to divide rather than to unite has no place in the biggest national sports event of the year - an event designed to bring Americans together,” said Jehmu Greene, president of the Women’s Media Center.
The National Organization for Women and the Feminist Majority agree with the protest. The Utah chapter of the National Organization for Women is located in Murray, Utah.
CBS said the script was approved and any protests would not impact whether the commercial was placed on the air.
Tim Tebow's advertisement is called “Celebrate Family, Celebrate Life” and is sponsored by the Christian group Focus on the Family.
The ad is expected to be about Tim’s mom, Pam Tebow and will discuss how doctors advised her to abort her baby when she became ill while pregnant. She ignored the doctors’ suggestion and gave birth to Tim. Tim, of course went on to become the Florida Gators quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner.
When asked about the ad, Tim said: “I know some people won’t agree with it, but I think they can at least respect that I stand up for what I believe.”

It's a contraversial subject. It's ironic that women's rights groups are so bothered about the commercial being on during the Super Bowl. Beer...girls...comedy...no problem. Someone standing up for what they believe in that opposes their stance on the subject..."Huge Contracversy". I hope their skin crawls off after they watch it.

Listen, If anyone has a problem with this commercial being on the air during the Super Bowl, it's because they feel convicted. These liberal scumbag womens groups will oppose any commercial that mentions saving the lives of the unborn. I say GOD BLESS TIM TEBOW!!!
Go Tim Tebow! As for the relation to sports - he makes a great point - he would not have been around to win the Heisman had his mom aborted him. More people need to stand up for the lives of the babies who are very much alive and well, just because they aren't living outside of the womb yet, they are still alive! GOD BLESS TIM TEBOW and thanks for your courage!
Tim! Keep on doing with you are doing! Make an impact! IT IS TIME TO BE HEARD! OUR TURN!
