Tim Tebow does not drop trou but David Beckham does for underwear ads (photos)

Tim Tebow may be the fresh name behind Jockey, but the Denver Bronco does not take off his pants for his new ad. Instead of showing the underwear being hawked, he chooses to show himself wearing well worn jeans outdoors where horses share the scene.

While this well produced image does indicate that Tebow rocks a tight torso, the ball player leaves his skiivies' choice and, thus, his lower extremities, to the imagination.

Meanwhile, David Beckham is not so subtle for his new H&M brand of skiivies, which he is set to reveal on Super Bowl Sunday.

A sneak preview video and the launch of his new line on Wednesday in London illustrated that this former Armani model and current soccer champ is all in for the game of selling underwear.

So, while Tim Tebow did not drop trou for Jockey, David Beckham did for H&M.

Call these individual decisions and subsequent actions the start of the 2012 underwear wars.
