Tim Tebow is cut by the Patriots and with the regular NFL season just five days away it would take something just short of a miracle for another team to pick him up now. You never know, Tebow, the genuflecting football player seems to have a hot line to the guy above, so maybe someone will find a place for the now former Pat's player.
According to ABC News on Aug. 31, the Patriots cut Tebow on Saturday with just hours left to the deadline time for NFL cuts. Tebow has not given up hope, he plans to play in the NFL as he tweets after he was handed down the news:
“I will remain in relentless pursuit of continuing my lifelong dream of being an NFL quarterback."
In 18 months, the genuflecting football star has been let go by three teams. Many think Tebow's career has wound down as far as it can go, but he's not giving up hope.
Tebow thanked a few folks via Twitter on Saturday including Patriot's owner Robert Kraft, the man many thought would intervene and keep Tebow on the roster. He thanked coach Bill Belichick and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. He also thanked the "entire Patriots organization for giving me the opportunity to be a part of such a classy organization."
Tebow's Patriots' stay lasted just under 12 weeks, this could be this Heisman Trophy winner's last NFL gig. Is this the end of a NFL career for the guy who become a household world for getting down on bended knee to give thanks while on the field?.
