Tim Tebow and the 2008 Gators to be honored by Dolphins at Sun Life

There’s a lot of controversy surrounding the Dolphins’ decision to honor the 2008 National Champion Florida Gator football team when Miami plays host to Denver on October 23rd.

Hurricanes fans are in an uproar according to a report by the Associated Press.

University of Miami fans feel disrespected that the higher-ups with the Dolphins would make plans to honor a rival college football team in the stadium they play in every year.

The Dolphins see it as amazing opportunity to make profit considering there’s a huge Gators fan base in South Florida.

Former Gator Mike Pouncey, who is a rookie with the Dolphins, is excited about the celebrating Florida’s BCS title win at Sun Life Stadium.

Pouncey played in the game alongside current Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow in the very same stadium when Florida defeated Ohio State 24-14 more than two years ago.

Despite the fact that Florida won the title in what was then Dolphin Stadium, some UM fans still want to boycott the game.

In addition to Pouncey and Tebow, several other former Gators from that team will also be attendance.

Former Gators coach Urban Meyer may also make the trip to South Florida.
