NWA Houston returns to the Cypress VFW tonight for a huge night of pro wrestling action. Six huge matches have been announced, including three championship encounters. Below is a brief look at how the night is shaping up for fans.

One month ago, "The Underground Icon" Scot Summers stunned everyone when he recaptured the NWA Lone Star Heavyweight Championship. Tonight, he makes his first title defense against the debuting Steve Anthony. Summers has faced every roadblock put in his way, but this will be the first meeting between he and Anthony. The challenger has every intent on making Summer's reign a very short one, while the champion is bent on reclaiming his spot as "best in Texas."

Also last month, fans saw the crowning of new NWA Lone Star Tag Team Champions. The invasion of The Empire (Matt Riviera and Greg Anthony) resulted in them shocking Cypress by walking out of a triple threat match as the new champions. But their first defense is going to be a true test, as the face off against the ultra-popular duo of Chaz Taylor and Hambone. Can the team known as Real America bring the gold back to NWA Houston, or will The Empire continue building their reign of terror?

The NWA Lone Star Junior Heavyweight Championship is also up for grabs, as two men that known each other VERY well will battle for the gold. Rudy Russo will defend the title against David "Super" Duperon. These two have faced off a few times in the past, and have delivered incredible matches. Duperon has been stellar since his return to Cypress a few months ago, and could very easily walk out with the gold. Russo will need to be on his game tonight if he intends on retaining his title.

An enraged Byron Wilcott will also be in action at the Cypress VFW, as faces off against the returning Tim Storm. We last saw Storm nearly two years ago at NWA Houston, and he nearly walked away with the heavyweight championship. Tonight, he faces a man no longer wearing the NWA Lone Star Heavyweight championship and could possibly be the most dangerous man in the locker room because of it. Storm said he would let his actions speak loud as he tries to pin another loss on "Big Daddy Yum Yum."

In what could be a highlight match of the night, "Cowboy" James Claxton will see singles action against Houston Carson. Claxton is also without gold, after he and Alex Reigns were unable to retain the belts last month. Now he focuses on Carson, who has been taking on the world lately and proving himself quite well against the odds. Claxton is a well-known brawler, but Carson can adapt to any style needed to pick up the win. Expect this one to get brutal and vicious very early.

Whoever walks out of tonight's event as the NWA Lone Star Junior Heavyweight Champion will definitely have their eyes glued on this next match, as the winner will earn a shot at the title very soon. Danny Ramons and Americos will square off with a huge opportunity on the line. We know that Ramons will do anything to get ahead, and that can prove very useful in the right situation. Fans are just getting another look at Americos, who debuted recently in Cypress. He is as skilled as anyone you'll find, and will give Ramons everything he's got for a shot at the title.

Also scheduled to appear are the monster known as Shane Taylor and current NWA World Women's Champion Barbi Hayden, who has been enjoying a nice run with the gold after dethroning Kaycee Carlisle to start the new year. Word is from the NWA Houston front office that this event may very well be standing room only, so you need to get your tickets now if you haven't done so already.
