You may recall that Tim Schafer and Activision aren't particularly fond of one another. After all, Schafer's latest project, Brutal Legend, was supposed to be published by Activision last year. However, it was unexpectedly dropped when Activision merged with Vivendi. Then, of course, there was the whole entire debacle where Activision tried to sue Schafer when Electronic Arts agreed to publish Brutal Legend.
Keeping that in mind, Schafer has posted on his personal Twitter page his reaction to the ongoing scandal that's unfolding between Modern Warfare 2 developer Infinity Ward and mega-publisher Activision.
"Getting mad at Activision for this kind of thing is like getting mad at an ape for throwing feces. It's just how the beast communicates," Schafer tweeted.
According to Kotaku and numerous other news sources, Infinity Ward president Jason West and studio head Vince Zampella have been fired by Activision, bouncer-like security guards have taken residence in the office and all hell has broken loose. Activision is allegedly citing "insubordination" for the reason behind West and Zampella's abrupt departure.

Obviously Vince and West from IW have been either a) talking to other publishers whilst wholly owned or b) been caught with their fingers in the bonus pool in some wrong way.

As for dropping Tim's super niche charity--project of a game, how can anyone blame activision when Brutal Legend sells 600k copies lol. love Tim, but Brutal was his last chance to ever prove to publishers his games can make money and he bombed it.
Rumor is that the two were planning on walking because they were sick and tired of Activision's BS.

Half those games have not even been officially announced let alone the fact that Grand theft auto is not going to be exclusive no matter how much you QQ about it. Ace combat 6 was on the xbox 360 as an exclusive, so I don't know how your little fanboy brain figured it would magically be exclusive to ps3...if anything its multi plat. Third Uncharted 3 really? 2 came out 4 months ago how is it that that is even considered right now. Don't even get me started on gran turismo 5...I will believe thats coming out when it is actually on shelves...I am tired of scolding you for having such an intelligence level so goodbye.
Well, guess thats spells the end of Infinity Ward. Without its creative directors and all the turmoil I seriously doubt the studio is set to be making any more AAA titles. Oh well, look on the bright side if true we can finally watch the curtin fall on Activision and Kotick, as with out Infinity Ward they have nothing.
