Five years ago country superstar Tim McGraw replaced beer and whiskey with low carb Paleo inspired food and Crossfit. According to the Christian Post on March 20, McGraw took to his Twitter account to show folks what he was up to on St. Patrick’s Day, proving to the world he hasn’t changed his healthy food and exercise ways.
In the photo, “Highway Don’t Care” Tim is “flyboarding” in a water powered jetpack. Showing off his washboard abs was proof positive to his 1.6 million Twitter followers that McGraw has kept up with his low carb Paleo inspired diet for a tremendous 40-pound weight loss.
To maintain his weight loss and fitness regimen, McGraw sticks to a diet that consists of grass fed meats and other animal proteins, healthy fats, vegetables and fruit. Tim’s diet excludes gluten, sugar, dairy, processed foods, starches and a handful of other vegetables, legumes and alcohol. He stays fit doing martial arts and Crossfit with trainer Roger Yuan.

The weight loss shouldn't come as a surprise to true fans though. The singer told fans he wouldn’t return to his old ways. “I drank a lot from my point of view and needed to stop,” McGraw told People magazine last year. “I felt quitting was something I needed to do. I didn’t feel I had any moral high ground with my kids in the long run.”
Faith Hill and Tim McGraw married in 1996 and they have three daughters Gracie Katherine, Maggie Elizabeth, and Audrey Caroline. It’s been five years since McGraw challenge himself to change his life for the sake of his family. Judging from the chiseled abs, he’s hooked. McGraw is now in the best shape of his life.
