Tim Gunn gets a 'Project Runway' spinoff reality show called 'Under the Gunn'

After 12 years on "Project Runway," mentor Tim Gunn gets his own fashion competition on Liftetime. The show is called "Under the Gunn," and it is very similar to "Project Runway." Tim Gunn takes Heidi Klum's spot as host of the new show. Heidi Klum walked the red carpet with Tim for the "Under the Gunn" fashion show on Dec. 21, 2013.

The past "Project Runway" contestants, Mondo Guerra, Anya Ayoung-Chee and Nick Verreos will serve as mentors for the designers. Mondo Guerra was the runner-up in season eight. Mondo came back to compete and ultimately win "Project Runway All Stars." Anya Ayoung-Chee was the winner of "Project Runway" season nine. Anya learned to sew four months before auditioning for her season. Nick Verreos was a contestant on "Project Runway" season two. He did not win his season, but he did make it to the top five.

The judges are designer Rachel Roy, stylist Jen Rade and Marie Claire editor Zanna Roberts Rassi. "Project Runway" is scheduled to begin this summer. Lifetime's "Under the Gunn" premieres on Jan. 16, 2014.
