Tillie is a wonderful sweet dog, whom Forte Animal Rescue saved from the pound death row, where she was dumped after giving birth to several puppies. She was literally dumped while she was still lactating. Sadly, nobody knew what happened to her babies. This must have been a traumatic experience that impaired her immunity.
She’s now fighting for her life against distemper, from which the majority of dogs do not survive. After what she’s gone through, she deserves a happy ending, not a grim fate.
She is a big love and wants nothing more than cuddles and belly rubs. She even walks very well on the leash and knows her basic commands. It would be a shame if her life gets cut short.
Tillie deserves a second chance at life, and her rescue organization would appreciate any support you can give, whether it’s a prayer or donation. Please contact Forte Animal Rescue by email or 310-362-0321.
UPDATE: Despite the initial diagnosis by a vet, further tests showed negative on distemper. It's a very bad strain of "flu" (kennel cough), and while she's still quite ill, she's on the mend; i.e., she's not dying anymore! Tillie thanks everybody's kind thoughts and healing energy sent her way through her rescue group!
