Better yet, they have a great family friendly environment and feature a Tuesday special that will make the entire family smile.
Tuesday: 2 tacos, chips and a drink for only $5.99.
The tacos are huge, the burritos and it is not a stretch that the real young ones could even share one of their specials.
Their concept; they resemble a full service restaurant and although a real person will serve you your food, you will order it yourself at the “order Here” counter. The order takers are knowledgeable and helpful and expedite the process very well.
Rule number one about Tijuana Flats. Take time to review the menu before you hit the order counter. The menu is very confusing and although I have been there several times, I still need some extra time to work through their menu style. In fact, I find the entire process annoying and hard to understand.
However, once through the red tape, their food is plentiful and the service is always exceptional.
For the carb or calorie conscious, their salads as are abundant, fresh and reasonably priced.
If you like a variety of sauces with your Tex-Mex, you will love their serve yourself sauce bar.
Overall, I find that Tijuana Flats is a fun, casual and family oriented dining experience which is both quick and affordable, especially on Tuesday.
There are five locations throughout Tampa. My favorite location is on Linebaugh Avenue, with ample outdoor seating and occasional live entertainment on weekends, it is a fun and modern atmosphere and a great place to have a good meal and hang out with friends or family.
