TightWire iPhone review

This guy is going to fall for you......

TightWire is an app for the iPhone and iPod Touch which is one of the top downloaded apps on iTunes.  It is an interesting app that is challenging, groundbreaking, fun and showcases the accelerometer controls like no other app.

In TightWire, you play a very large man that walks on a tight wire.  You walk from building to building on the wire using by tilting the phone.  You can sync the controls up to how you want to hold the iPhone in the options.  This creates a very tight, responsive and simple control scheme.

The graphics are very good.  The guy looks real and there are some very humorous animations in the app.  The sounds were also good.  There wasn’t much music but that doesn’t hurt the app.

The Lite version of TightWire was also good.  I’d  play it first before downloading the full version of the app because you may be content with that version.  The only real thing you’re missing  beyond the full number of levels and the inability to see the walker fall all the way from the sky.  For your benefit, here is a video showing him fall all the way:

All in all TightWire is a solid app.  If you play through the Lite version and enjoy it, then it is definitely worth the $1 download for the full version.   The app is challenging, fun and addictive and is one of the better $1 apps you can get.  I recommend TightWire to iPhone gamers
