People Magazine is reporting that Tiger Woods’ wife Elin Nordegren spent New Year’s Eve and her birthday, New Year’s Day, with her twin sister, Josefine, in the French Alps.
But TMZ.com reports that the story may be bogus. TMZ says one of Nordegren’s neighbors in Florida saw her walking a dog on Thursday, New Year’s Eve. TMZ and other new sites have been publishing photos of Nordegren on the slopes, but TMZ is speculating that the photos may be of Nordegren’s twin sister.
If People Magazine is right, Nordegren was headed back home to Florida Sunday night.
People reported that Nordegren spent an isolated Christmas before heading to the Alps with sister Josefine and her husband, Daniel Lönnborg. Nordegren arrived at Switzerland’s Geneva Airport on Sunday, December 27, and she spent her holiday with friends and family in a chalet in Les Houches, just outside the ski resort of Chamonix.
A source told People that Nordegren was "having a good time.”
Meanwhile, MSNBC says Nordegren is wearing her wedding ring again.
“That doesn’t surprise me,” a source told the cable network. “Even though they have been spending time apart, she’s not moving out of the home now, and she is willing to put work into this. So is Tiger.”
Of course, if TMZ is right, the person seen wearing the wedding ring could have been Josefine and not Elin.
According to the British paper, the Daily Mirror, Nordegren barred Woods from seeing their two children at Christmas. Over New Year's, Woods spoke with the kids in the Alps by speakerphone.
Chalet worker Chris May told the Mirror: "They didn't argue once." He added Tiger told his kids: "Daddy misses you all."
