Despite reports that Tiger Woods' latest girlfriend marks mistress #15, Tiger Woods is voted Athlete of the Decade by the Associated Press.
Is this a joke? No.
The Associated Press voted Tiger Woods Athlete of the Decade saying, according to ESPN, his 10 years of "incomparable golf" outweighs "nearly three weeks of a salacious sex scandal".
Woods, a nine-time PGA Player of the Year, has 64 victories internatinoally and 12 majors dating to 2000.
According to the report, "it wasn't much of a contest."

Of the 142 total votes, Woods received 56 by AP member editors; however, more than half of the ballots were returned after his Nov. 27 car accident which set off the sensational tales of infidelity that have tarnished Woods' image.
Also in the running was Lance Armstrong, a cancer survivor and six-time winner of the Tour de France (this decade), finished second with 33 votes.

Never mind that he was taking illegal performance-enhancing drugs. That doesn't seem to matter anymore.
It was "blood spinning" and that is not illegal. First, get that straight. Second, Tiger Woods deserved that spot, he may not have a good record as a husband but he has an excellent record through his works as a golfer and contributor to the sport. Anyone that argues should evaluate themselves when it comes to casting moral judgment. I'm sure there are no angels out there or haven't you noticed.
TIGER IS ONE OF THE BEST, BEST, BEST ATHLETES EVER AND HE HAS WORKED SOOOOOOO HARD TO STAY ON TOP OF HIS GAME AND PROVE HIMSELF AS AN ATHLETE! HOW HE TREATS HIS IMMIGRANT WIFE IS IRRELEVANT! LIKE HALF OF AMERICAN MEN DON'T CHEAT. HALF THE MEN WHO VOTED FOR HIM HAVE PROBABLY CHEATED. GET OVER IT!!
10-4. Blood spinning is actually VERY interesting.
It only proves once again that it doesn't matter anymore what kind of life you lead, what kind of example you set. The only thing that matters is if you are good at your sport. What kids growing up today are learning is that you can cheat on your wife with multiple partners, abuse animals in an extremely cruel way, and commit any number of other heinious acts, but as long as you are on top of your game, you, too can have fame, fortune, and forgiveness, no matter what you do. Tiger isn't fit to putt in Lance's shadow. And all you people yelling about drugs, Lance was involved in a legal enhancement procedure. Quit shouting about things without being informed first.
As a mother of four boys, I find it hard enough to have them focus on school instead of football. They are already being taught by their coaches that all they have to do is pass to play. It's getting harder and harder to be a mom...
