Tiger Woods Updates: Are tabloids and gossip magazines the new News media?

If there’s one thing certain about the Tiger Woods scandal it’s the new credibility granted towards gossip mags and tabloid publications. Since when have tabloids been credible sources of news? It’s amazing how in the pursuit of the next breaking Tiger Woods story and Tiger Woods updates, credible news sources are quoting gossip rags and tabloids. We at Examiner are no exception, but at what price do we go for the next big story?
Quoting faulty sources and tabloids has become the new source of the media and when something is actually confirmed as newsworthy, it is lost under piles of glossy tabloid photos and stories that run on the verge of laughable let alone believable. When did the line between news and tabloids blur? Could it have been when Michael Jackson overdosed and credible news was waiting for the confirmed word of his death hours after TMZ had broke the story, showed photos from the scene, and had a full story up and running on their website?
Tiger Woods updates are hot searches on the Internet worldwide, but there’s a problem when Tiger Woods and Elin haven’t uttered a word and you have 15 alleged mistresses and umpteenth gossip magazines all portraying different stories. If there’s any truth to be told in the Tiger Woods scandal it is undoubtedly not going to come from a parade of mistresses getting star treatment as they descend upon their red carpeted infamy into the loose women’s hall of fame, where the likes of Jessica Hahn and Ashley Dupre’ forever reign and rule.
Sure, these mistresses may score a few playboy photo shoots, maybe they’ll end up in a music video or two, but no one really cares what they have to say: apologies to Tiger’s wife included. Magazines may shell out hundreds of thousands of dollars for their Tiger tales, but that doesn’t make them credible.
The real sources of information in the Tiger Woods’ scandal have spoken or chosen to remain silent. Those include Gloria Allred and Mark NeJame, Tiger Woods and Elin Woods, and the Florida Highway Patrol.
Though the story of Tiger Woods’ is one of public curiosity, it must be reminded that the sources of these stories are not ‘news’ nor are they ‘credible.’

A call to Eldicks lawyer and he could sue all these uncreditable liars. Unless the only liar is Eldick himself then I would hide and even flee the country. Powerful people buy silence and the news media including gossip rags which had been hiding this story since 2007.
Tiger Woods is sitting on millions upon millions of dollars. Some of these women are poor waitresses and one 'porn' star can't even pay her child support! He wouldn't sue them because he'd get nothing- they have nothing to give him. I wouldn't take his silence as guilt on all of these stories. He's guilty of cheating, but I guarantee he is isn't guilty of all of these stories. These women are milking it for all its worth.
Interesting that Tiger didn't pay these two 'Jamies' for silence-
Tiger Woods vs Michael Jackson
Ok, this is getting pretty low when the CEO of Yahoo Carol Bertz says 'God Bless Tiger' admitting how much traffic this scandal is sending to Yahoo. In fact, many blogs are now saying searches on Tiger Woods have been better for sports websites listed on sports index Dozensports.com than Michael Jackson dying. Are we witnessing one of the first major internet scandals? The immediacy of the internet means that we can now all read minute-by-minute updates of Tiger's transgressions. But comparing it to Michael Jackson is just plain low. The whole world has an opinion on Tiger Woods but for God's sake let's leave the dead out of this.
