In light of the scandal that Tiger Woods finds himself in, Golf Digest has decided to suspend his monthly columns for Golf Digest. According to msn.foxsports.com, the magazine said in a statement: "Golf Digest has had a long-standing relationshp with Tiger Woods to provide instruction articles for the magazine, and we do not have any plans to change that. We respect Tiger's decision to take a break from professional golf and focus on his family; Tiger's bylined instruction articles will not be published in Golf Digest during his time away from the game."
Tag Heuer also made headlines by announcing that the company would stand by the golfer. TAG Heuer declares via the brand's official website: "TAG HEUER stands with TIGER WOODS."
The full statement reads as follows:
"Tiger Woods became a TAG Heuer brand ambassador in 2002. The relationship between the leader in prestigious sports watches and chronographs since 1860 and Golf virtuoso Tiger Woods has always been extremely professional and productive.
'The partnership with Tiger Woods will continue,' said Jean-Christophe Babin, President and CEO of TAG Heuer, 'but we will downscale the use of his image in certain markets for a period of time, depending on his decision about returning to professional golf. We will continue to actively support the Tiger Woods Foundation.'"
