Photo credit: APIn today’s Tiger Woods update reports state that Elin is filing for divorce. She has had enough of Tiger’s infidelity and is going home to Sweden with her two children, Sam and Charlie. Tiger will remain in the states where reports say he will spend Christmas with guy friends. Some might find it interesting that reports are emphasizing ‘guy’ friends.
Additionally, new reports say that several of Tiger Woods’ mistresses are in the works for tell all books. Legal experts have speculated that Elin is waiting to file for divorce until the last mistress comes forward.
Tom O’Neil, editor of In Touch Weekly, spoke about the divorce and said that he has heard from multiple sources that Elin is going through with the divorce. ABC News reported that the divorce is 100% certain; the sources revealing the news of the divorce have been named as close friends of Elin. Tom O’Neil also stated that they have attorneys who check each source and verify stories before going forward. At the same time that ABC, Radar Online, Us Weekly, and TMZ are reporting on the divorce, Jessica Simpson is taking action against Star Magazine, whom she says ran a story that was nothing more than a blatant lie. The story claimed that she was one of Tiger Woods’ alleged mistresses and that her relationship with Tony Romo ended due to a romance with Tiger.
Reports also state that several of Tiger’s mistresses are negotiating payoffs with Tiger. These reports have surfaced simultaneously with those stating that several of the mistresses are said to be working on ‘Tiger Tell-All’ book deals. Just how much Tiger Woods is willing to pay his mistresses to stay quiet is anyone’s guess, but reports suggest that Rachel Uchitel has been paid between $1 and $5 million dollars. Other reports have said that Tiger has set up a payment plan with his mistresses, giving them sums as much as $20,000 in exchange for their silence.
Should Elin and Tiger hash things out in a court of law, there is a high chance that Tiger’s infidelity will have little weight in the divorce proceedings. Both California and Florida are no-fault states, and adultery will have little bearing on the case.
