Tiger Woods who turned 34 yesterday has been dropped by AT&T. The company announced its decision to end the golfer's sponsorship agreement.
According to the LATimes, "AT&T announced today that it would no longer sponsor Woods following weeks of allegations that the 14-time major winner cheated on his wife. The telecommunications giant is the third major company to cut its ties to Woods, joining Gillette and Accenture."
According to the Wall Street Journal, a spokesman for AT&T said in a brief statement: "We are ending our sponsorship agreement with Tiger Woods and wish him well in the future." While AT&T has ended their agreement with Woods, the company said it will continue its sponsorship of the AT&T National, a PGA Tour golf tournament in July. The spokesman said: "We look forward to a successful 2010 tournament."
