Tiger Woods' unauthorized book being released by Howard Stern Show regular

Tiger Woods'
will be the subject of an unauthorized book by frequent Howard Stern Show guest Ian Halperin.  Halperin, who has appeared on the Howard Stern Show twice this year to promote books about Michael Jackson, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, says that Tiger Woods books are in big demand

"Editors at major publishing houses are frantically trying to find writers to write books about Tiger Woods," Halperin reportedly told Life & Style magazine.

In November, Ian Halperin told Howard Stern that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are headed for a divorce within the next 18 months and that

“She [Angelina Jolie] has this fetish with stealing married men."

In July, Ian Halperin brought his book 'Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson' to the Howard Stern Show.  Halperin claimed that his research showed that Michael Jackson was a closeted homosexual and sometimes cross-dresser, but not a child molester.

Does this mean that Ian Halperin will be stopping by the Howard Stern Show in the New Year to stir the Tiger Woods news stinkpot live on-air?  No plans for Halperin to visit again have been announced yet, but where else is he going to go?  Opie and Anthony?

I'm pretty sure Ian did Opie and Anthony for the Michael Jackson Book.

Your uninformed (and frankly, lame) shots at Opie & Anthony are getting as tired as Stern's schtick. Try to write one column without kissing Stern's ass while taking unnecessary potshots at O&A. I understand you're bitter that O&A put forth the more consistently original, entertaining, and funny show than your hero (with the added bonus of having 20% more show every single week). That's no reason to take it out on them. We get it. You don't like O&A and stick to the tired old "they are hacks that copy everything Howard does" without backing it up like every other Stern zombie fails to do. You're obviously not willing to give O&A a fair shake (as I'm sure you did with mega-hack "Bubba the Mancow Sponge" because Howard told you to support the guy he once said "he didn't want to be in a business with.") Find a new gimmick already.

I'm pretty sure Ian did Opie and Anthony for both of those books. And then he walked off the show after he threatened that hack bald comic. The next day Sharon Osbourne called him a "slapped ass". Or was it "arse"? During the shows replay they looped in the live version of Radiohead's Creep.

Ian did promote both books on O & A and if I'm not mistaken flat out told them that they are responsible for his books selling so many copies. And to the comment about them calling Ian a slapped ass, Sharon Osbourne said that about Susan Boyle, not Ian. You Stern fans should really get your facts straight.

"but where else is he going to go--Opie and Anthony?"....Why not, he's done that show a few times now, they got along well enough. Oh wait, I know why not, you are a stern fan/zombie. Way to report the story with an unbiased point of view.

    Hey twat,
Ian's been on the Opie and Anthony show three times this year.

  • SternFan1399 2 years ago

I the biggest Stern superfan around, and even I knew Halperin did O&A. It was on the same day as the Brangelina interview, in fact.

I used to listen to both shows, but O&A just fizzled out for me, while Howard show is still can't miss. Just my opinion.

Ian Halperin has been on the Opie and Anthony show twice this year, and he praised them as being his favorite. He said he loves Jim Norton and talks about the show wherever he goes.

This article stinks. Why not just say Tiger Woods book being released by Ian Halperin? Why does it have to be a Howard Stern Show plug? You suck.

Liz Brown. you sound like an un-informed blogger. And why take the shots at O&A? this isn't your first time, and I remember you were just as uninformed then as you were this time you zero. Use true facts and and things that exist in real life and maybe a piece of anything you say will have some merit. Just keep kneeling down in front of Queen Howard. Norton rules and O&A Kick ass. You 2 bit hack. My O&A google alert alerted me to your stupid article because it showed the O&A comment. I agree, Ian has been on O&A numerous times and has credited them with his HUGE sales. If you would open your mind you would find that the guys create some of the best radio ever broadcast. I used to be a Stern fan but he has phoned it in for years. Even though I scream at O&A's politics, and don't agree with them on a lot of matters, I feel disappointed if I miss even 1 minute of their show. It is always great radio, even when I am mad at what they are saying. That is the mark of a truly original and creative show. BTW Lil' Jimmy Norton is one of the most under-rated, original and clever comics in years. What more could you ask of a morning show?

Re: SternFan1399 - Most people that listen to O&A and Stern (and that number is greater than they will admit to) feel the exact opposite way you do. They listen to both but Stern got tiresome for them and O&A are just more passionate and entertaining daily. I'm just saying.

This is useless drivel... Interesting how this article appears under "Opie and Anthony" and under "Howard Stern" a news search doesn't turn up anything in the last 6 months. I guess we know who's better at making newsworthy radio these days.

  • Steve Garrison 2 years ago

He was just on Opie & Anthony for his second time, in which he gave O&A credit for selling his book. Apparently "fact checking" is a skill you do not have. Also he said he had no interest in writing a Tiger Woods book. Great Job?

  • Your mom's box 2 years ago

He's already been on o&a twice with better interviews, you f*ckin jiz mop.
