Tiger Woods to get TV support from caddy

If there is one golfer who needs a little extra security on the course, it would be Tiger Woods. The embattled athlete has faced extreme backlash from the public tracing back to his cheating scandal breaking in November, and nobody expects that to change over the course of the next several weeks.

However, one person will be clearly there to support Tiger's future TV exploits: his caddy, Steve Williams. While he can't promise that people will leave the golfer alone, he did tell the Sydney Morning Herald that he plans to give Tiger "a level playing field. Nothing will change from that aspect. I won't do anything differently. I won't view him any differently. I will do the utmost best to be as professional as I can."

Of course, with Williams this means dealing with any fans who start to rub the golfer the wrong way. The caddy has been vocal in the past in terms of taking on hecklers, even going as far as to snatch a camera away from a spectator on one occasion.

Are these sort of confrontations good for Tiger's career? Probably not, but they certainly make for good TV when they happen. We could potentially see Tiger on the Golf Channel for the Tavistock Cup next month.

Do you think there will be any televised confrontations between Tiger Woods and his fans? Let me know your thoughts with a comment below.

Tiger gets what he deserves, kind of like what goes around comes around. Or you reep what you sew. Or suffer the consequences for your actions.... Need I say more?
