Tiger Woods said he and wife Elin were boring

On Tiger Woods’ website, he described his relationship with his wife, Elin as ‘boring.’ The remark was made in response to a comment submitted by a reader asking why Tiger and his wife are never photographed together in the media.

The question was submitted by Katie from New Jersey, and she asked if Tiger and Elin ever went out on dates. “I mean, I never see you out in People magazine, and I know the paparazzi are everywhere!” The question is seen in a much different light after the past three weeks of scandal.

Tiger responded to the question by saying that he and his wife avoid media attention because the couple is ‘kind of boring.’ He answered, “I think Elin and I have avoided a lot of media attention because we're kind of boring. When we do go out, we like to go to the movies. When we go for dinner, it's usually at the same few restaurants. Mostly, people are very nice and just want to say hi. There are a lot of evenings we'll just rent a movie and stay at home.”

The comment also seems strange in light of the alleged 14 to 16 mistresses that the golfer was rumored to be seeing. Though the golfer said that he and Elin stayed home and rented movies, his alleged mistresses describe a partying man who enjoyed meeting beautiful women while visiting nightclubs, particularly in Las Vegas.

Was Tiger Woods expressing his true feelings regarding his marriage in the comment? Was he, like many other married man bored with married life, feeling that the couple was falling into a ‘routine’ that many married couples with children fall into?

It’s quite possible that Tiger Woods revealed his true disenchantment with married life. Sources who told Life & Style magazine about Tiger’s alleged third mistress, Kalika Moquin stated that Kalika had revealed Tiger’s unhappiness in his marriage to them. “Tiger told Kalika that married life isn’t all it’s built up to be. He said he wasn’t happy in his marriage or his home life and that there was just so much pressure on him.”

According to reports by People Magazine, that pressure will soon be removed as Elin Nordegren Woods plans to file for divorce.
