Tiger Woods rumored to be in Trump International Hotel in New York City

TMZ.com reports that photographers are camped out outside the Trump International Hotel in New York City over a rumor that Tiger Woods is inside.

TMZ says the rumor is that Woods checked in on New Year’s Day and ordered a block of rooms under an assumed name. He locked down a floor and replaced the hotel’s security with his own.

Woods even had the hotel’s gym locked down in the early morning 4 a.m. to 6 a.m.

But TMZ says it is skeptical of the story. The Web site notes that the story goes on to detail that Woods was seen coming and going with “a leggy blonde.” He also, according to the story, ordered 20 bottles of vodka and 15 cases of Red Bull to his room. That order was made after two more women showed up.

If Donald Trump knows whether Woods is staying in his hotel, he's not saying.   He was interviewed previously about what he thought of the Woods scandal.   He spoke positively about Woods.   That video is below.

If it is another bad rumor, it won’t be the first.  The most recent bogus rumor was the result of a viral e-mail that said that Woods went to Arizona immediately after his November 27 accident to have extensive plastic surgery. The work allegedly was needed to repair the damage Woods’ wife Elin Nordegren did to his face. The rumor was picked up and published by veteran sportswriter Furman Bisher. The story was apparently a hoax. Woods met with the Florida Highway Patrol days after his accident. He allowed troopers to inspect his upper body for injuries but the only injuries the observed were a “fat lip” that they said was consistent with him hitting the steering wheel in the accident.

The National Enquirer is publishing photos of Tiger Woods in a romantic embrace with an apparent mistress in California last year.  But wait, there could be more to come.   According to the Enquirer, Woods' wandering eye started early in his relationship with wife Elin Nordegren.  A new video is being shopped around for hundreds of thousands of dollars, that according to an Enquirer source, shows Woods with one of his mistresses in California.   The video was shot before Woods married but after he was engaged to Nordegren.   Click here for more. 

The attorney for David Letterman's accused extortionist is using the Woods scandal to help in his client's defense.  The attorney wrote in court papers that if it is legal for Woods' mistress Rachel Uchitel to seek payment for her silence, his client should not be charged for doing the same thing.   Uchitel's famed lawyer, Gloria Allred, wasn't pleased.   Click here for more.

Tiger Woods voluntarily allowed Florida Highway Patrol troopers to inspect his upper body including his chest, back, hands, and arms, according to an exclusive report on Orlando station WESH-TV,  The troopers said there was no signs of domestic violence and that the only visible injury was a "fat lip" that they say was consistent with Woods hitting the steering wheel.  Click here for more details on the WESH story.

Tiger Woods' alleged mistress Rachel Uchitel spoke briefly to a Florida television station,   She had the opportunity to deny that she is seeing Woods but instead said she wouldn't comment on the reports.  Some have suggested that she is intentionally feeding the rumors for attention and to keep herself associated with Woods.  Is she playing the press?  Click here for more details and to view the interview with her.
