Tiger Woods was forced to pull out of a charity golf event on Aug. 27, and according to ESPN, Woods is questionable for a PGA tour event this weekend. The problem was a back tweak, a continuing injury from the Barclays tournament.

The charity event was part of the Notah Begay III Foundation Challenge, an 18-hole exhibition that Woods was supposed to play with Begay, a former PGA Tour pro that also competed at Stanford with Woods.

Begay said it was better for Woods to drop out of the event to prevent further injury. This could harm Woods’ chances at playing in the Deutsche Bank Championship this weekend, a PGA tour event, and the second of four FedEx Cup playoffs tournaments.

The bad back began to really bother Woods at the Barclays tournament, where he dropped to his knees on the 13th hole after a back spasm sent pain throughout his body. Adam Scott ended up winning the tournament, while Woods struggled to finish, in obvious pain.

Woods blamed a soft hotel mattress for his back problems flaring up, but he also suffered through some back problems at the PGA Tournament as well.

If Tiger Woods is able to play through his back pain at the Deutsche Bank Championship, he will pair up with Adam Scott and Phil Mickelson, as they rank first, second and third in the first two rounds of the FedEx standings.
