Tiger Woods press conference: Wife Elin will not support Tiger at Masters

On how his personal transgressions affected his play: "I certainly would have [been] more centered. More balanced. That's where I'm headed towards. Where I'm working towards each and every day." He also said he's been meditating each and every day and is staying in touch with his "Buddhist roots".

On his first press conference in February: "When I gave my speech in February, I had no intentions of playing golf in the near future at all," he said, adding he only first started hitting balls two days prior to his February press conference. He said once he started practicing again, he got the "itch" to start playing again and reminded him of "old times". At that time, Woods said, that's when he made the decision to come back and play.

On his marriage: "Elin is not coming this week," Tiger said. When asked if he should be returning to the game without "repairing his relationship", Tiger simply responded: "I'm excited to play this week."

On his legacy and his dad: "In order to help people, you have to first learn how to help yourself," Tiger said quoting his father. "I never used to understand that. When I was in treatment I wrote that down and looked at it every day. And [by learning] how to help myself I can help more people moving forward."
