Tiger Woods' press conference today (Recap) Continued...
On playing in the Masters: "As far as getting out there, I'm definitely more nervous..." he said. "I've never been in this position before. To be out there before the people where I've done some things that are just horrible." Woods said prior to the press conference he "took it in" more and enjoyed the interaction with the fans.
On winning the Masters: "Nothing's changed," said Woods. "Going to go out there and try to win this thing."
On mainstream media critique: "The times have changed," Woods said. "With 24 hour news you're looking for any news to get out there. I know alot of my friends are in here and I haven't seen them and talked to them but I've read their articles." He added that he understands the media's critical nature of his transgressions.

On his reason for rehab: "I was [in rehab] for 45 days. It was to take a hard look at myself," he said. Adding, "Does that mean I'm going to stop doing that? No. I've still got to continue with my treatment. That's going forward. That's not going to stop in the near future." When asked what specifically he was in there for, Woods said: "That's personal".
On his motivation to miss rehab: "Prior to Christmas, I made the decision to enter rehab. Having spent Christmas Day with my family was incredible. Having to go off from there into treatment was a very difficult time. What people probably don't realize is because of the timing of it, I missed my son's first birthday and that hurts...that hurts alot." Tiger added he "vowed to never miss another one after that".
On feeling "entitled": "That's part of the problem I had," said Tiger. "The way I was thinking was not correct and was part of where I was at. I was rationalizing. I was denying." Tiger said (as said previously) he was lying to himself and those he loved.
On getting dropped by sponsors: "Do I understand why they dropped me? Of course. You know, I made a lot of mistakes in my life and I totally understand why they would do that. Hopefully going forward I can prove to the other companies I am a worthy investment."
