A demo for Tiger 14 was released on Tuesday. The new menu and overall presentation is immediately noticeable in the title. You have the choice of playing in a live connected tournament, a quick match, and participating in a historical moment featuring Gary Player. Jumping into the live tournament gives you three holes at two different courses. Basically what this does is drop you into a room with 8 other people who are participating at the same time. You can see where their shots land and go, but no player models. You can also interact with who's in the room with you. I could see this being better with friends rather than random people who's baby's are crying in the background.
As for the gameplay itself, the swings seem tighter. There's much more control on mid-range and chip shots. If you do push trying to get a stronger shot, it could punish you like last it did in 13. The new score overlays are in effect, and the game immediately starts tallying averages and other stats. The more you play, you'll get presented with this info, including comparisons with other players. Tiger 14 looks to be completely intuitive and offer a new experience to really hone in on your game. Judging by the demo, it looks to have gotten a good coat of paint. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 hits March 26th.
