Tiger Woods' half brother arrested, accused of bomb threat

Tiger Woods' half brother was arrested in Arizona Thursday. Maricopa County sources say Early Dennison Woods, Jr. was placed under arrest for allegedly making bomb threats at his place of business. However, Tiger's stepbrother insists that he was merely making a joke with his fellow workers, according to a Dec. 12 USA Today news report.

The half-brother of Tiger Woods, 58, was booked at the county jail in Phoenix on suspicion that he attempted to threaten, terrify and harass others.

Dennison, ( pictured here in 2002 with Early Woods, Sr. ) allegedly phoned in a bomb threat, among other things, to the Department of Economic Security building where he is employed.

At the time, about 100 people were inside the building. And after the DES received notice of the threat via telephone, police were called for assistance.

Sources say Tiger Woods' brother said it was merely a joke and he never thought his co-workers would take it seriously. Moreover, he is very sorry for causing the disturbance and is cooperating fully with the criminal investigation.

Given the current climate of mass shootings and domestic terror incidents, it's odd Woods thinks a bomb threat is a laughing matter.

Tiger Woods' half brother, who was arrested, is the father of Cheyenne Woods, a female professional golfer.

This story is developing.
