Oklahoma Channel 9 news reports a story from this morning about an unnamed woman who had her arm ripped off by a tiger. The employee worked at the G.W. Exotic Animal Park in Wynnewood, Oklahoma.

The Garvin County Sheriff’s Office reported that a female employee was mauled by a tiger and was sent to the OU Medical Center.

Deputies reported that she had lost her arm but is in stable condition.

The Park released a statement that their employee violated safety procedures. Therefore, the tiger won’t be destroyed. Park officials say the employee’s large jacket bunched up inside the cage wire, which prevented her from removing her arm.

The park addressed the tiger attack and their concern for their employee on the park’s Facebook page. The Facebook page also reports that medical staff saved the young woman’s arm. The park has also been allowed to remain open.
