According to a Nov. 2 post from MMA Mania, Lion Fight returned to "The Joint" at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, with Lion Fight 12 on AXS Television, and California Muay Thai champ Tiffany Van Soest delivered one of the finest performances of the night.
Van Soest, 24, showed tremendous athleticism and superb Muay Thai boxing skills in her victory over Magali Foroni.
No disrespect to Foroni, but she didn't deserve to be in the same cage as Van Soest. "Time Bomb" continues to be the face of Lion Fight, after dismantling every opponent the promotion has put in her path.
It was an exciting weekend in female combat sports, with Van Soest's TKO victory leading the way. The official stoppage came at the 2:15 mark of the third round, after Foroni's corner threw in the towel.
Lion Fight 12 featured two other female bouts, with Miranda Cayabyab defeating Kaiyana Rain by split decision and Lauren Rosa defeating Victoria Beltran by decision in an amateur bout.
Also on Friday evening, Nadia Nixon fell short in her pro debut, losing via triangle-choke in the first round of her Shamrock FC fight against Sharice Davids.
On Saturday, Nov. 2, Amy Davis' submission victory over Thea Wolfe highlighted an exciting night of fights on the Caged Warrior Combat 9 card. Davis earned the win via armbar, and the official stoppage came at the 3:44 mark of Round Three.
Impact Fight League featured three female bouts this weekend, with Rachael Smith defeating Lauren Foley by split decision, Natalie Madej knocking out Carolyn Biskup to win a bantamweight title and Katelyn Dykas submitting Angela Jennings to win a flyweight title.
Katlyn Chookagian earned a decision win over Janice Meyer at a CFFC event in Pennsylvania, and Raquel Brown defeated Rose Shanks-Smith at a Hardrock MMA event in Kentucky.
