There are two kinds of football fans in Alabama with national championships in their recent history. Alabama fans wear crimson and white, shouting ROLL TIDE. Auburn fans wear orange and blue, shouting WAR EAGLE. A road trip has been organized by Alabama Tourism featuring both schools.

Alabama fans know that Tuscaloosa is the home of the Crimson Tide. Tour stops in this town include Brant-Denny Stadium (where the Tide play their home games) and Paul W. Bryant Museum (a museum paying tribute to the most famous coach in Tide history).

Auburn fans know that Auburn is the home of the Tigers. Tour stops in this town include Jordan-Hare Stadium (where the Tigers play their home games), J&M Bookstore (featuring Auburn merchandise), and Auburn Arena (where the Tigers store their trophies).

Birmingham also is a part of this tour. Tour stops in this town include Legion Field (which has hosted Alabama and Auburn games including the Iron Bowl) and the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame (which includes several members from previous Alabama and Auburn teams).

The app also includes places to stay and eat at both Tuscaloosa and Auburn. There are also tips about additional places that will enhance the traveler's experience. The Alabama Road Trips app is available for both Android and Apple smartphones and tablets and features 99 other road trips across the state of Alabama.

Whether you holler ROLL TIDE or WAR EAGLE, football season is awesome here in the state of Alabama. The Alabama Road Trips app features a great road trip that honors both Alabama and Auburn.
