Stars Dancing for HEALS is one of Huntsville's premier fundraising events. A successful spin-off of ABC's Dancing with the Stars, this year's event with be HEALS' fifth.
You still have time to get your tickets and cast your "votes," but you better hurry: The stars put on their dancing shoes next Monday, November 7.
The event features seven “stars” from the community dancing with local ballroom instructors to raise critically-needed funds for HEALS, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing school-based pediatric medical and dental care for Madison County’s most underprivileged children.
For months, these community stars have been working hard, practicing with experts from Rocket City Dance Club and Southern Elegance Dance Studio.
The 2011 stars are:

- Loni Cleve - WHNT News 19
- Tracy Doughty - Huntsville Hospital
- Leslie Esneault - Huntsville High School
- Monica Ludwig - ASRC Federal Holding
- Cristina Lynn - Local country singer/songwriter
- Dan McClain - 102.1 WDRM
Stars receive votes based on donations to HEALS, which includes ticket and table purchases made in their names. It all comes to a head on this spectacular night when they compete for Crowd Favorite and Champion for Children, the latter going to the top fundraiser.
