The general public can buy tickets starting today for the 2014/1015 season of The Denver Center for Performing Arts. Individual and package tickets can be bought and printed by visiting http://denvercenter.org/shows or by calling Denver Center Ticketing Services at 303-893-4100.
The 2014/15 DCPA season includes Broadway, Cabaret and Theatre Company productions. Award-winning shows such as Pippin (September 6-20), Kinky Boots (October 29-November 9), Wicked (June 3-July 5) and The Book of Mormon (August 11-September 13) are on the Broadway lineup. Also from Broadway are Jersey Boys (December 10-14), Motown The Musical (March 31-April 19), and Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella (February 3-15).
The Cabaret schedule includes You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up! (September 19-October 19), Forbidden Broadway: Alive & Kicking (November 15-March 1), and Defending the Caveman (April 22-26).
On tap for the Stage and Space theatres are The Unsinkable Molly Brown (September 12-October 26), Lord of the Flies (September 26-November 2), and One Night in Miami (March 21-April 19). Also two plays are making their world premiere from their debut at the Colorado New Play Summit last season: Benediction (January 30-March 1— based on Kent Haruf's novel set on the high plains of Colorado) and Appoggiatura (January 17-February 22 — James Still's story of three loosely related Americans traveling to Venice to seek solace).
The popular Blue Man Group will have a short run from October 10-12 at The Buell Theatre, and Hal Holbrook will appear in his one-man show Mark Twain Tonight only on March 21.
Christmas season performances will be A Christmas Carol November 28-December 28 at The Stage Theatre and The SantaLand Diaries November 28-December 24 at The Jones Theatre.
