Tickets to the Broadway show of West Side Story at the Hippodrome go on sale November 21, 2010.

West Side Story runs from April 12-24, 2011. Suggested age appropriateness is 13 and older.

A similar plot as William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Tony and Maria are star-crossed lovers in the midst of cultured wars within the gangs of New York set in the 1950's.

'The original 1957 Broadway production, directed and choreographed by Jerome Robbins and produced by Robert E. Griffith and Harold Prince, marked Stephen Sondheim's Broadway debut. It ran for 732 performances (a successful run for the time), before going on tour.'

'The new Broadway cast album of WEST SIDE STORY recently won the 2010 Grammy® Award for Best Musical Show Album. The Bernstein and Sondheim score is considered to be one of Broadway's finest and features such classics of the American musical theater as Something's Coming, Tonight, America, I Feel Pretty and Somewhere.'
